About DeadLockLane

A fast lane-phase advisor for Deadlock. Give it both teams and it shows the best way to set up your three lanes for the first ~5 minutes — hero vs hero, no items.

How to use it

Pause the game and screenshot the scoreboard, then drop or paste that image on the home page. It reads the 12 heroes and shows your results instantly. If a name can't be read, it opens the manual editor with the rest pre-filled so you can finish in a click. On a phone, you can even snap a photo of your screen with your camera — the reader cleans it up and still finds the heroes. You can also skip screenshots and pick heroes by hand on the Manual page.

What the results mean

Your six heroes can be re-arranged across the three lanes, but the enemy's lanes are fixed (that's what the game shows you). For every one of your heroes against every enemy, it estimates a lane-economy edge — who wins the souls and last-hits battle in lane — then finds the lane layout that gives you the best start.

  • Win % — roughly how often a lane (or your whole start) wins the early game, where 50% is a coin-flip. It's an estimate from the head-to-head lane economy, not a guarantee.
  • Current vs best — your current line-up's win % is shown next to the best possible, per lane and overall, so you can see what the swaps are worth. Often it's only a point or two — lane swaps are a small edge, not a magic fix.
  • Swaps — the exact moves to reach the best layout. If they barely help, it says so.

The data

Numbers come from the community deadlock-api project. For accuracy in the lane phase it only counts matchups where the two heroes actually laned against each other (same-lane), over the last 30 days, with thousands of games behind each one. The per-matchup number is a lane-economy edge — the head-to-head souls, last-hits and denies — so it reflects the itemless first ~5 minutes, not whole-game outcomes. No hand-tuned bias. The site refreshes automatically every hour, so new heroes and balance changes show up on their own.
